Trained by Bill Mott and ridden by Joel Rosario, Yoshida successfully transition from turf to the Saratoga dirt, winning his second Grade 1 and improving his overall record to 11-5-3-0 for owners WinStar Farm, China Horse Club International, SF Racing, and Head of Plains Partners. The G1 Woodward is the centerpiece on Saturday, however, Woodward Day marks the final Saturday of the 2018 Saratoga meet and is loaded with three other graded stakes races: the Grade 1, $350,000 Spinaway, the Grade 2, $250,000 Glens Falls, and the Grade 3, $300,000 Saranac.
